Hollow mantle including tubes, connectors and accessories for heating and cooling solid-state-battery test cells

Benefit from the precise and fast way of heating AND cooling your solid-state-battery test cell by means of the HC-Addon combined with an circulating thermostat (not included in scope of delivery).

  • Required: external circulating thermostat and thermal fluid, can both be procured via us or directly from the manufacturer – just ask for information about suitable models
  • Combined with an external thermostat, it heats and cools your CompreCell 6/12 or 6/12-DP to temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +250 °C (reachable temperature limits depend on selected external circulating thermostat and specifications of selected test cell)
  • In case of the CompreCell Pouch, the reachable temperature is limited to 0 °C to +100 °C
  • Precise temperature control: +/- 0.1 °C
  • Fast and comfortable assembly and handling
  • Communication with external circulating thermostat is embedded for specific models in CompreDriveControl for automated measuring procedures

Typical applications

The default application is to heat the CompreCell 6/12, CompreCell 12-DP or CompreCell Pouch to allow for temperature-dependent measurements:

  • Determination of the temperature-dependent conductivity of solid electrolytes

  • Cycling solid-state batteries at different temperatures

  • Stripping-plating experiments at different temperatures

  • Cycling of lithium-ion, sodium-ion, or solid-state-batteries in pouch cell format at different temperatures

Detailed Description

The CompreDrive HC add-on is designed to enable the electrochemical characterization of solid electrolytes or all-solid-state batteries while precisely regulating the applied temperature of the sample between -40 °C and +250 °C. The product is designed to be used only in combination with the corresponding measuring cells (CompreCell 6/12 and CompreCell 12-DP).

The CompreDrive HC add-on provides a fluid jacket which perfectly fits to the CompreCell measuring cells. The fluid conditioning is realized by an external circulating thermostat. By default, the CompreDrive HC addon DOES NOT include any circulator.

The jacket is designed to fit any available thermostat to provide the user with a maximum of flexibility. The only limitation is that not all external circulating thermostats can be automatically controlled. So please contact us to get recommendations for suitable models and brands to benefit from the highest level of automation.

The accessible sample temperature range within the overall limits are given by the used thermostat, the allowed temperature range for the selected test cell, or the specific configuration of the CompreDrive. The heater is equipped with a removable thermal insulation to lower its outer temperature.
