Detailed Description
The LVDT distance add-on provides dedicated displacement sensors to CompreDrive or CompreFrame setups. It can be added to all cyclindrical cell designs before starting the pressure application and provides accurate distance data, for example to track cell breathing or plating and stripping processes in a solid-state cell. The setup can be used in conjunction with the thermal sleeves of the H and HC add-on to ensure controlled conditions.
The LVDT distance add-on solves a major issue of cylindrical cell dilatometry. The high forces in the CompreDrive/CompreFrame setups prevent a centered position of any sensor. Out-of-axis sensors are susceptible to errors due to bending/flexing of the cell. By arranging 3 sensors in a plane the setup performs a geometric correction and enables accurate distance measurements < 0.5 µm. Electronic unit and full software integration into CompreDriveControl (CDC) included.
