Typical applications
Understanding the performance of battery cells during cycling is a critical factor. If mechanical characteristics are not taken into account, battery research can end up with irreproducible results and, even worse, with issues when trying to transfer the obtained results to the module and pack level. Typical applications with the isostatic pouch cell testing fixture CompreStat are:
Cycling of pouch cells at different isostatic pressures (up to 3 pouch cells at once)
Pressurized cycling at various temperatures (up to 3 pouch cells at once)
Improving reproducibility by well-defined pressure and temperature conditions

Detailed Description
The CompreStat is a pressurized cell fixture that enables electrochemical tests of batteries in a pouch cell format at different isostatic pressure and temperature conditions. Up to three cells of various formats and tab configurations can be connected independently.
One pressure sensor in the container as well as one temperature sensor per cell are integrated. The included sensor electronics and software make it a turn-key system with full control of all relevant data. It is monitored and stored via a connected PC. You can use all data handling and plotting features that our CompreDriveControl software offers. The sample temperature can be controlled by placing the CompreStat inside a temperature chamber.
Pressure is applied by gaseous media. Simply connect to Argon bottles for example, using the available filling set. No oil, no spills, no cleaning.
Safety first: A pressure relief valve is included. The product is safe by design, in case of failure of the pressure relief valve, the lid will leak in a defined way. Runaway of 3 cells is possible without bursting of the container.
