Typical applications
The Microcell Passive cell fixture has been designed to operate with the test cells of the “TSC” product line and opens therefore a broad range of different applications, like:
Determination of the conductivity of liquid, gel-like, polymeric and solid electrolytes at room temperature or at different temperatures when being used in a climate chamber
Performing cyclic voltammetry measurements
Charging/discharging of batteries and supercaps
- Performing spectro-electrochemistry measurements (UV/Vis transmission, in-situ RAMAN)

Detailed Description
The Microcell Passive test cell fixture comes with some useful accessories like a BNC-to-banana adapter box. The cell fixture is compatible with all test cells with prefix “TSC” and can be used to electrically contact the test cell’s base unit and cap. For performing temperature-dependent measurements, this robust and easy-to-handle fixture can be used inside of climate chambers.
Technical Details
- Accessible temperature range during operation (measuring cell):
The cell-stand is not temperature controlled.
- Temperature range during operation (ambience):
Toperation/ambience = 0 °C to +75 °C
- Temperature range for storage:
Tstorage = +10 °C to +30 °C
- Relative humidity range during operation and storage (non-condensing):
0 to 100%
- Atmosphere during storage:
non-corrosive
- Max. voltage applied to electrodes (measuring cells):
Udc, max = +/-30 V; Uac, max = 30 V
- Max. relative pressure applied to closed measuring cells:
pmax = 5 bar
*The max. force might be limited by the selected force sensor and the chosen test cell.
**The accessible range is limited by the coupled thermostat.
