All-Solid-State Battery Testing up to 407 MPa using the CompreFrame
The capabilities of a new CompreCell DP with 10 mm diameter pistons were demonstrated in the CompreFrame pressure application frame using two NMC|LPSCl|Graphite solid-state battery cells, with and without a lithium metal reference electrode.

Using a Zero-Strain Reference Electrode to Distinguish Anode and Cathode Volume Changes in a Solid-State Battery
In our new publication in Advanced Materials Interfaces we were able to quantify how much of the cell breathing in a solid-state battery cell came from the cathode and anode, respectively, just by measuring the three-electrode open-circuit potential at different pressures. No need for any advanced in situ techniques like XRD or dilatometry!

A true constant volume mode for pouch cell cycling with active regulation is introduced. Four different ways of applying pressure is compared by monitoring the cell thickness and pressure during cycling.
